Nuovi Cantieri Apuania S.p.A.

Nuovi Cantieri Apuania S.p.A. (NCA) was established in 1944. The shipyard is located in Marina di Carrara, Italy. NCA initially focused on various types of ship construction and repair. Over its history, the shipyard has engaged in building commercial vessels, including ferries, tankers, and cargo ships, alongside its activities in the yachting sector. The facility is equipped with large dry docks and extensive waterfront access, allowing for the construction and refitting of significant vessel sizes. In the yachting sector, NCA has undertaken projects for custom superyachts, often working with external designers and naval architects to realize client specifications. The shipyard has experience with both steel and aluminum construction for large yacht projects. After experiencing financial difficulties leading to a period of restructuring, the shipyard was acquired by The Italian Sea Group (TISG) in 2012. Under TISG's ownership, the facility was renamed Admiral NCA Refit, and its operations were integrated into TISG's brand portfolio. The site has since been utilized for the construction of superyachts under the Admiral and Tecnomar brands, as well as for refit projects. The shipyard has maintained a focus on large-scale shipbuilding and refit services. The historical capability of NCA in building diverse vessel types has transitioned into a specialization in large displacement and semi-displacement motor yachts under its current ownership. The facility includes capabilities for comprehensive build processes, from hull construction to interior outfitting and finishing.
